No. 1 -
LGB Stainz 0-4-0
I'm sure most G scalers have one of these little workhorses in their stock
This was the first engine purchased and came as part of a starter set.
Recently re-sprayed in black and currently awaiting renumbering. |
 |
No. 2 -
LGB Stainz 0-4-0
My second loco. Also purchased as part of a starter set. Some
great shots on the site of No's 1 and 2 double-heading prior to No. 1
getting it's re-spray. No. 2 will remain in original condition.

 |
No. 3 -
LGB OBB U Series 0-6-2
Completely unchanged. |
 |
No. 4 -
Scratchbuilt Steam Tram

Telford Steam Railway. Scratch-built superstructure on a Playmobil
chassis, fitted with lighting and smoke generator.

|
 |
No. 5 - LGB TA Corpet 0-6-0
Untouched apart from replacing the LGB the driver. (I liked the look of this
guy leaning out), and retro-fitting a smoke generator. |
 |
No. 6 -
Accucraft Caradoc 0-4-0 - "Ellie"
Gas fired live steamer. Safety Valve bonnet, Nameplates, and Smokebox
handrail added. An LGB coupler has also been fitted to the
rear. Loco is named after my wife. Additional details and lining, plus radio control to be added as
funds permit.

No. 7 -
Hartland/IP Mack Railcar
This one it still at the development and build stage. A Col. Stephens
type railcar based around the Hartland Woody Railtruck and an IP Engineering
3 compartment coach kit. Details of the build will be posted on the
projects pages when completed. |
 |
No. 8 - IP Engineering Punch
This was an absolute bargain from Dragon G Scale (thanks Jeremy). Less
than 70 quid. comes in kit form and goes together very easily.
Has a nice slow running motor, cleverly geared so that when you cut the
power it slows down quite prototypically). Battery powered with
single-speed radio control fitted (to see how this was done click on the
Projects link). |
 |
No. 9 - Accucraft Baguley Drewery Diesel
The latest ready-to-run addition to the fleet.
I don't know what the attraction is with these Accucraft Baguley's but I
just love 'em. Had to have one in the fleet. Only mods so far
have been the addition of a Schleigh driver and LGB coupling fitted to the
rear. |
 |
No. 10 - Diesel Boxcab 0-6-0
Scracthbuilt mostly from 80thou styrene sheet
and loosely based on the Diesel boxcab kit produced by P&J Models.
Uses a cheap plastic toy loco chassis/motor assembly with On-board battery
power via 6 1.5v AA cells. Radio controlled by way of an Aristrocraft
Basic Train Engineer system. |

Bachmann Baldwin 4-6-0
I had always intended for my railway to be British or European in outline,
but then saw this in the window of my local Garden Railway stockist.
Compared to my other stock this looked massive, and had a very impressive
spec. Not only that but it was roughly half price (hence a bargain),
and there were only two left in the shop. I thought that it would go very nicely with some
American carriages I already had (left over
from a starter set), so the deal was done. Oh and there was a bonus,
my wife liked it. Job done! This
loco has now relegated to a display cabinet in my Office at work.
Really was far too big for the railway, but I just can't bear to part with
it. Will probably still be run occasionally for visitors (if I
remember to bring it home!!).
